The wolverine is our largest marten. The wolverine keeps to itself and hunts prey on the mountain. In winter, the large paws act as snowshoes when the wolverine successfully hunts its favorite prey, the reindeer. The spoils are stored in burrows dug in the snow and act as refrigerators. Järven trivs bäst för sig själv
The wolverine keeps to himself and is something of a recluse. They live on the mountain where they move in a gallop typical of the wolverine. They are fast and can run at a speed of up to 45 km/h. They are good at both climbing and running, and their large paws act as snowshoes that distribute the weight of the snow.
Järven sparar sin mat
I sitt revir gräver järven en massa hålor som fungerar som skafferier. I hålorna gömmer järven delar av sitt byte för att spara födan till senare. Järven äter både bär och växter förutom gnagare som den jagar. Den är egentligen en asätare som föredrar att äta resterna av byten som andra djur fällt.
