When you buy tickets, visit us, stay with us or shop in our stores and restaurants, we process the following information that you provide to us yourself:
  • Your name (and names of accompanying persons) and your contact details.
  • Your social security number, for example when you buy Skånes Djurpark's annual pass.
  • Your customer number, company agreement number and/or Skånes Djurpark's annual pass number if you state these when booking/purchasing.
  • Information about your visit, accommodation and purchase history, e.g. price and accommodation.
  • Information about the need for an escort or wheelchair space during the trip, when such information is needed.
  • Payment details and payment history.

We handle your personal data in order to:

  • Identify yourself as a visitor, e.g. when checking tickets.
  • Charge for entry, accommodation, merchandise in store, or restaurant visit, including handling card payments.
  • To detect and prevent fraud in connection with card payments.
  • Manage and deliver what you have purchased in accordance with our terms of purchase, for example by providing the product you have purchased.
  • Notify you (via app, SMS, e-mail or similar electronic communication) about changes in our services and products, for example changes in the park's program or offer.
  • Market our services and products, e.g. via e-mail and SMS.
  • Collect reviews via Tripadvisor after your visit.
  • Compile statistics on bookings via a company agreement for the purpose of reporting to the company (usually your employer).
  • Produce statistics on the purchase of visits, accommodation and goods, in order to improve our services

    Legal basis for processing: We process your personal data in support of contract fulfillment when we provide the entry, accommodation and/or product, in support of balance of interests when we have a legitimate interest in using your data for statistics and to market our services, ensure payment and prevent fraud, as well as supported by a legal obligation to manage opt-out settings, escort and wheelchair space.

Storage period: We save information about you up to 12 months after the completed visit, accommodation and purchase, among other things as a basis for any complaints.

3.2 Claims for compensation
When you contact us with compensation claims, we handle:
  • Information that you provide to us yourself, e.g. name (and names of accompanying) contact information, payment information, account information, case history.
  • Your social security number, e.g. when you apply for insurance compensation.
  • Details of the basis for your compensation claim.
  • Documents that you attach to your case, such as receipts or medical certificates.
  • We handle your personal data in order to:
  • Manage and assess your compensation claims.
  • To detect and prevent fraud in connection with compensation claims.
  • Collect statistics about your cases in order to improve our services.

Legal basis for handling: We handle your personal data with the support of legal obligation when we handle your case of personal injury, fulfillment of agreements when we handle other complaints regarding the product, and with the support of a balancing of interests when we have a legitimate interest in improving our services and discovering and prevent fraud.

Storage period: To ensure traceability, we store your personal data for up to 36 months after the case has been closed. If compensation has been paid in the case, we save the data for 7 years in accordance with the Accounting Act. Personal injury cases are saved until the case is time-barred and annuity cases for life so that we can reconsider the case.

3.3 When you are a member of Skånes Djurpark, connected to a company agreement, have Skånes Djurpark's annual pass or a login account
When you choose to become a customer of Skånes Djurpark, join a company agreement, buy a Skånes Djurpark annual pass and/or create a login account in our digital channels, we handle:

Information that you yourself or your employer provide to us such as name, social security number and contact details, including phone number and
email address.
Contact details and other information that we obtain from the state's personal address register (SPAR).
A customer number or username that we create to identify you in our systems.

We handle your personal data in order to:
Identify yourself and administer your customer relationship toSkåne Zoo.

Legal basis for processing:
We handle your personal data with support in the fulfillment of agreements to administer your customer relationship with Skånes Zoo.
Storage period: We save your personal data during the customer relationship and thereafter for up to 3 months.
In the sections below, you can read more about how we handle your personal data depending on whether you are a Skånes Djurpark customer, connected to a company agreement, have a Skånes Djurpark annual pass and/or have a login account.

3.3.1 You who are a customer of Skåne Zoo
When you are a customer of Skånes Djurpark, in addition to what is described in points 3.1, 3.2 and 3.3 above, we also handle:
  • Information about your customer account, e.g. customer number and email.
  • Information about purchases from us or our partners
  • Information about your visit, accommodation and purchase history.
The personal data is handled in order to:
  • Administer your account in Skåne Zoo and your bookings, e.g. registration of and payment by invoice.
  • Contact you with information and general offers, e.g. via e-mail and SMS.
  • Analyze and group you with our other customers based on the information you have provided to us (e.g. age, place of residence, gender and stated preferences) and based on how you use our services (visit, accommodation and purchase history).
  • Inform you about personal and customized offers, campaigns and benefits from us and our partners, via e.g. e-mail and SMS.
  • Compile statistics and carry out analyzes in order to improve our services, goods and offers, including long-term analysis to capture trends over time.
  • Ensuring the security of our services, to detect or prevent various types of illegal use or use that otherwise violates the terms.

Legal basis for processing: We process your personal data in support of the fulfillment of contracts when we fulfill our obligations towards you as a member (e.g. administering your membership and providing relevant offers) and in support of a balance of interests when we have a legitimate interest in using information about your visits, stays and purchases to produce statistics and to develop, improve and ensure the security of our services.

Storage period: We save your personal data during the membership period and thereafter for up to 3 months. To ensure traceability, we save information about our communication with you for 12 months. Your visit, accommodation and purchase history is saved for up to 7 years for our legitimate interest in analyzing trends over time. In case you end your relationship with Skåne Zoo, we anonymize the visit, accommodation and purchase history.

3.3.2 You who are connected to a company agreement
When you are connected to a company agreement, in addition to what is described in points 3.1, 3.2 and 3.3 above, we also handle:
  • Information about your connection to an enterprise agreement and your authority under the enterprise agreement.
  • Billing Information.
  • Information about your visit, accommodation and purchase history.

The personal data is handled in order to:
  • Administer your connection to a company agreement.
  • Administer payment, e.g. issuing company account invoices.
  • Make it easier for you, your employer and its travel agency when booking your accommodation.
  • Compile statistics on bookings and accommodation for the purpose of reporting to the business customer (usually your employer).
  • Analyze and group you with our other customers based on the information you have provided to us (e.g. age, place of residence, gender and stated preferences) and based on how you use our services (visit, accommodation and purchase history).
  • Contact you with information about general offers as well as personal and customized offers, campaigns and benefits from us, via e.g. e-mail and SMS.
  • Compile statistics and carry out analyzes for the purpose of improving our services, goods and offers, including long-term analysis to capture trends over time.
  • Ensuring the security of our services, to detect or prevent various types of illegal use or use that otherwise violates the terms.

Legal basis for processing: We process your personal data based on a balance of interests for our and the contracted company's legitimate interests to administer and follow up the accommodation within the company, to facilitate you when booking accommodation and to fulfill our commitment in relation to the contracted company to provide you with relevant offers. We also process your personal data based on a balancing of interests when we have a legitimate interest in using your data about your visits, stays and purchases to produce statistics and to develop, improve and ensure the security of our services.

Storage period: We save your connection data as long as you are connected to a company agreement. To ensure traceability, we save information about our communication with you for 12 months. Your visit, accommodation and purchase history is saved for up to 7 years for our legitimate interest in analyzing trends over time. In case you end your relationship with Skåne Zoo, we anonymize the visit, accommodation and purchase history.

3.3.3 You who have a Skånes Zoo annual pass
When you have a Skånes Zoo annual pass, in addition to what is described in points 3.1, 3.2 and 3.3 above, we also handle:
  • Information about your annual pass, e.g. annual pass number, level and validity period.
  • Information about your visit, accommodation and purchase history.
  • The personal data is handled in order to:
  • Administer your Skånes Zoo annual pass, e.g. validity period and bookings.
  • Contact you with information and offers, via e.g. e-mail and SMS.
  • Compile statistics and carry out analyzes for the purpose of improving our services, goods and offers, including long-term analysis to capture trends over time.
  • Ensuring the security of our services, to detect or prevent various types of illegal use or use that otherwise violates the terms.

Legal basis for processing: We process your personal data in support of the fulfillment of contracts when we provide the service and in support of balance of interests when we have a legitimate interest in using your data about your accommodations and purchases to produce statistics and to develop, improve and ensure the security of our services.

Storage period: We save your annual pass details as long as you have an active annual pass and three months thereafter to make it easier if you want to return as an annual pass customer shortly.
To ensure traceability, we save information about our communication with you for 12 months. Your visit, accommodation and purchase history is saved for up to 7 years for our legitimate interest in analyzing trends over time. In case you end your relationship with Skåne Zoo, we anonymize the visit, accommodation and purchase history.

3.3.4 You who have a login account
When you have a login account, in addition to what is described in points 3.1, 3.2 and 3.3 above, we also manage:
  • Information about your login account, e.g. username and password.
  • Data that you yourself choose to save on your profile, for example contact details and customer number to be included.
  • Information about your visit, accommodation and purchase history or how you otherwise use our services or our digital channels, e.g. information about your latest logins.

The personal data is handled in order to:
  • Administer your login account and make it easier for you in future visits, purchases and accommodations.
  • Contact you with information and general offers, via e.g. e-mail and SMS.
  • Compile statistics and carry out analyzes for the purpose of improving our services, goods and offers, including long-term analysis to capture trends over time.
  • Provide, maintain, test, improve and develop the digital services and the technical platform used to provide them.
  • Ensuring the security of our services, to detect or prevent various types of illegal use or use that otherwise violates the terms.

Legal basis for processing: We process your personal data in support of the fulfillment of agreements when we provide the service and in support of balance of interests when we and you have a legitimate interest in facilitating the booking of future accommodation and use your information about visits, accommodation and purchases to produce statistics and to develop, improve and ensure the security of our services.

Storage period: We save your login details as long as you actively use your login account (up to 6 months after last use) or have another active engagement with us (membership in Skånes Djurpark, connected to a company agreement or have a Skånes Djurpark annual pass). To ensure traceability, we save information about our communication with you for 12 months. Your visit, accommodation and purchase history is saved for up to 7 years for our legitimate interest in analyzing trends over time. In case you end your relationship with Skåne Zoo, we anonymize the visit, accommodation and purchase history.

3.4 When you communicate with us
You can choose to communicate with Skåne Zoo in many different ways, e.g. via social media, in the FAQ forum, Tyck til functions or in chat, calls and emails with our Customer Service and Booking, Guest Service and our receptions at our accommodation.
When you communicate with us, we handle information that you provide to us yourself, e.g.:
  • Name and contact details.
  • Information about your point of view, question or matter.

We handle your personal data in order to:
  • Answer questions and handle your case, e.g. remedy errors, handle complaints and questions about lost property.
  • Deliver ordered information, e.g. annual and sustainability report.
  • Improve our services and the information we provide and publish via our website.
  • Analyze calls in order to improve our service.

Legal basis for processing: We process your personal data for our and your legitimate interest in handling your case (balancing of interests).
Storage period: We save your personal data for up to 12 months after the end of the case to ensure traceability in your communication with us.

3.5 When you participate in marketing activities or customer surveys
In connection with marketing activities (lectures, competitions, campaigns, etc.) or in connection with customer surveys (surveys and interviews), we handle the information you provide to us, including name and contact details.

3.6.1 When you connect to Skånes Djurpark's Wi-Fi
When you connect to Skånes Djurpark's Wi-Fi, we are the personal data controller for the processing that takes place to connect you to the Internet, but not for the further processing or for the content of your communication via Wi-Fi. When you connect to Skånes Djurpark's Wi-Fi, we manage your IP address, MAC address, time stamps.

3.6.2 When you use Skånes Djurpark's website

3.7 When we have an obligation under law
In addition to what is described in the points above, in some cases we handle your personal data when we are obliged by law, for example due to our accounting obligation, or at the request of an authority.

4. How long do we save your data?
Your personal data is only stored for as long as is necessary to fulfill the purposes of the processing, or for as long as we are required to store it by law. Your data is then deleted or de-identified in a secure manner, so that it can no longer be linked to you. Read more about how long we save your data above under the respective sections in chapter 3.

5. To whom do we disclose your data?
  • Skånes Djurpark never sells your data to a third party. However, we may disclose your personal data to the following categories of recipients:
  • Suppliers, both within and outside the EU/EEA, who, for example, provide IT services, advertising services, handle customer service matters or carry out payment mediation and credit information on behalf of Skånes Djurpark.
  • Collaboration partners within and outside of Sweden, e.g. to verify annual passes or membership.
  • Event parties, so that they can carry out the event and for the other reasons described in their privacy policies.
  • If you book or travel through a company agreement, information about purchase and travel history may be disclosed to the company we have an agreement with (usually your employer).
  • Your bank when you identify yourself with Bank ID, pay by card or with Swish.
  • Other recipients when it follows from legal requirements, other constitutions or authority decisions.

Recipients who handle personal data on behalf of Skånes Djurpark must always enter into a so-called personal data proxy agreement with us in order for us to be able to ensure that your data is handled correctly and securely. If we use suppliers who process your personal data on our behalf outside the EU/EEA, we take special protective measures, for example signing agreements that include the standardized model clauses for data transfer adopted by the European Commission and which are available on the European Commission's website.
