- The badgers like to dig in their pots. Look in the part of the fence where there is a lot of soil.
- Badger is a nocturnal animal that often slumbers during the day. Is it quiet and still in the enclosure? Come back in a while and see if the badgers are out and about!

Grävlingens underjordiska gryt
Grävlingens bo kallas för gryt och är ett underjordiskt gångssystem som kan ha flera våningsplan. Ett grävlingsgryt kan ha en diameter på 60 meter och bestå av 300 meter tunnlar och rum. I ett gryt bor oftast flera grävlingsfamiljer, i genomsnitt bor 6 grävlingar tillsammans men upp till 23 individer har observerats bo i samma gryt.
Grävlingen äter det mesta
Badgers especially like earthworms but are omnivorous and eat most anything they can come across. The badger eats insects, frogs, small rodents, eggs, roots, and bulbs. In summer and autumn it eats grain and a lot of fruit and berries.
The badger does not see very well, which is the reason why it is not a particularly good hunter. Instead, it picks up what it comes across that can be eaten.
